Application Owner, Enterprise Data Warehouse

Job description

We are looking for an Application Owner, Enterprise Data Warehouse to take responsibility for our enterprise data warehouse development, advanced support and project/product delivery activities through application lifecycle.

As an Application Owner, Enterprise Data Warehouse your key responsibilities and accountabilities are:

• Application owner of Metso Outotec Information Hub ‘MOIH’, our enterprise data warehouse
• Coordinate data warehouse and reporting development with Metso Outotec internal stakeholders and external service providers
• Manage and develop enterprise data warehouse service and when needed, participate in troubleshooting around data warehouses and reporting
• Plan and implement continuous development of data warehouse and reporting solutions from technical environment and IT service point of view
• Participate in architecture work around data warehouse and data platform solutions
• Consultancy and technical advisory for reporting and analytics development projects

To succeed

To be successful in this role you have a solid understanding of data warehouses and reporting and analytics tools, their objectives and mechanisms. You have experience and knowledge of ITSM and ITIL, application development lifecycle phases and deliverables, agile methods and processes. You have previous experience of Microsoft and SQL data warehouse technologies, also in Azure. Experience of surrounding technologies: cloud, servers, networks, databases, Active Directory, integrations, Power BI and other reporting tools is important. You have worked with manufacturing industry data. Understanding of Data Vault modelling is considered an asset.

You are self-directed person with curious mindset – You are willing to take ownership of a wide and critical solution and actively engage in everything around it, from architecture visioning to development steering and problem solving. You have a strong drive to meet goals and targets while ensuring IT governance. You also have excellent coordination skills and you have ability to work independently and as part of a team. We expect you to have great communication and presentation skills and ability to collaborate effectively with IT and business counterparts. Fluent English skills both written and spoken are must, Finnish skills is a plus.
