Chief Engineer, Mechanical – Magnetic Separators

We are looking for a Chief Engineer, Mechanical to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team and to ensure successful Customer projects. In this role, you will develop into a key professional for Magnetic Separator products. You will have a chance to learn from the best: two highly skilled and experienced Magnetic Separator professionals are there to support and challenge you on your work. Role is located in Espoo, Finland.

As Chief Engineer, Mechanical – Magnetic Separators (LIMS/HGMS), you will:

• Plan and lead the detail design work in equipment delivery projects
• Take part in designing customer specific solutions
• Be responsible for reviewing and achieving the agreed engineering quality, cost and schedule
• Create and manage product technical calculations and specifications
• Participate in Product Lifecycle Management and Continuous Product Improvement
• Provide technical support to external design offices and all internal groups e.g. Sales, Supply, Service and Product Management to facilitate successful design, delivery and installation of equipment
• Represent engineering in customer interface

To succeed, you will need:

• A degree in technical education (B.Eng. or M.Sc.)
• Minimum 5 years experience on relevant engineering roles
• Strong experience in and enthusiastic approach to mechanical engineering
• Prioritizing skills with a strong Customer focus
• Pro-active attitude and willingness to learn constantly
• Ability to manage engineering work in multiple projects
• Good team leader skills
• Ability to utilize Machine Safety and other Design Standards in daily Design work
• Strong experience in using 3D engineering and PDM tools efficiently (preferably SolidWorks and Enovia)
• Experienced in Design for Manufacturability
• Capability to make decisions independently while working as part of a team
• Capability to work in a structured manner even under pressure
• Good communication skills in spoken and written English with ability to work with people from different cultures
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Customer sites / fabricator workshops
