COUNTRY MANAGER FINLAND

To lead the commercial change in the local market

We are looking for you with background in mechanical or automation industry and proven sales management skills. With us, you will have an opportunity to create change in how we sell and how we exploit the market opportunity in Finland and the Baltics

Our current Country Manager is retiring and we are now looking for you to energise our sales team in Finland and Baltics. Your industry background with mechanics, automation or mechatronics is similarly important as your skills and interest to enhance the way we sell. We appreciate you taking the needed steps in our sales activity, together with our five technically superb sales engineers and your manager in Sweden. Mekanex has already reached good results in the Finnish market and we believe that there is still much more to reach. We have a good reputation, we represent products from well-known manufacturers and we can offer technically and economically appealing solutions for our clients in numerous industries.

The team consists of four persons in Lohja and one in Tallinn. We want you to appreciate the individuals much as we do. Your job is to back up, motivate and encourage your team to new level in sales. We hope that you bring with you your business understanding helping us to speak to our customers also in financial terms (value selling). Your previous track record in generating a change is valuable, as we aim to take in use the same CRM system already in use at the Swedish mother company.

Your will have a full P&L responsibility for the unit, beside of sales management and administrative tasks. You will also be engaged in sales to your own clientele and in showing your example in proactive sales. You report to our Swedish Managing Director, who is your most important back up, alongside the management team in Sweden.

The results of your work will be measured in terms of growth of business, profit margin, general sales development, winning target customers and employee satisfaction. You will have your office in Lohja and a possibility to partial remote work when the results of your work start to appear. We expect you to speak fluently Finnish and English. Swedish language skills are a clear plus. We also hope that you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.

Mekanex Oy Ab is a subsidiary of the 60-year-old Mekanex Maskin AB in Sweden, which has been operating an agency in Finland since 1985. We are a known supplier of machine elements, representing well-known manufacturers. Mekanex markets and sells transmissions for rotary and linear movements. The company has customers in all manufacturing industries in Scandinavia. We operate in the steel and mining industries, the forest and paper industry, cars and trucks, in the pharmaceutical, food and packaging industries. We help our customers in automating processes. Our wide assortment allows us to offer optimized solutions for different applications with different technical and economic objectives.

Our central warehouse and finance function are in Stockholm and the Finnish subsidiary in Lohja is a pure local sales company. The Finnish branch has a turnover of just over 1.6 million euros and five employees. Since 2004, there is also a branch in Tallinn.
