In SMR's Underground Drilling Division, we develop mining equipment for underground drilling, hauling, and loading, as well as mining automation for our global customer base. Our underground drills equipment product development teams are located in Finland and France. This position is located in Tampere, Finland. We are always looking for a top talent to join our company. This is an open application for Design Engineer, Mechanics position.

Your mission

You work as a Design Engineer in our underground drilling equipment team at Tampere site. You are part of the design team and your tasks include different development tasks for underground drilling equipment. You work closely with other engineering functions, manufacturing, product support, spare parts sales, and our suppliers.

Your profile

You have a suitable technical education (M.Sc. or B.Sc.). You work independently, actively and on a long-term basis. Previous experience in machine design tasks, modularization principles, different part fabrication methods or use of modern CAD and PLM programs is considered as an advantage but is not mandatory. You communicate well in English. Basic or higher-level Finnish skills helps you to succeed on the job.
