Lead Software Developer, Autonomous Equipment

Business Unit Automation develops exciting and revolutionary digital solutions for various mining applications and sells them globally in all major mining regions. Our most recognized product names are AutoMine® and OptiMine®, which are both leading digital solutions in the industry. AutoMine® is a solution where operator remotely monitors and controls autonomous equipment’s working in the mine or at the surface. OptiMine® is solution for process optimization and data analytics giving full-process transparency and control of mining operations.

We are now looking for Lead Software Developer, Autonomous Equipment for AutoMine® team to support our current and growing business in the field of digital mining products. This position is permanent and based in Tampere, Finland.

Your mission

As a Lead Software Developer, Autonomous Equipment your main responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the technical design and development of AutoMine® surface drilling software solution
  • Write specifications, plan SW releases and write code
  • Provide hands on expert level assistance for technical issues
  • Communicate system design and developed solution to internal and external stakeholders

Your skills and qualifications

You have a Master or Bachelor’s degree in automation/software engineering or similar. You have experience for leading SW developers and strong background in C++ / C# / .Net / WPF. Your previous experience from autonomous equipment’s or machine control systems is seen as a great benefit. You are a team player and your way of working is systematic and you have passion to get things done in time and quality. The job requires excellent written and verbal skills in English. The position requires travelling occasionally.
