We are looking for a product manager for our Operations and System Tools product families in the KalmarOne terminal automation system. As the product manager for Operations and System Tools you will have the overall responsibility on all the operational user interfaces of the KalmarOne terminal automation system. The Operations product family contains the control room graphical user interfaces for controlling the terminal operations and for maintenance and remote operations. The System Tools product family includes tools that are used for running a virtual twin of an automated container terminal for testing, training  and optimization purposes.

As a product manager you will be a member of the KalmarOne product management team having the overall objective to contribute effectively to the commercial success and customer satisfaction of the KalmarOne terminal automation system. Main responsibilities in this position are: develop and implement the strategic plan for the Operations and System tools product families. Ensure their competitiveness through effective product management, globally & cross functionally. Identify and consolidate market needs, manage product portfolio and contribute to product development plans.

Key accountabilities

• Understanding the market, customer needs, price level and following key competitors actions;
• Ensuring the managed product meets the customer requirements;
• Creating and maintaining the product family development roadmap and determining the product's future direction;
• Providing the product requirements and technical specifications for the product development projects and acting as a project owner;
• Ensuring the product documentation is managed and up to date;
• Being responsible of the product lifecycle management and secure continuous product improvement;
• Collaborating actively with different internal stakeholders to ensure successful deliveries and support of the Kalmar solutions;
• Providing inputs to the internal process development and alignment within the corporate guidelines for the ways of working;
• Supporting sales and marketing.

Position Requirements

Education

• M.Sc or B.Sc in Engineering or similar.

Experience

• Experience in product management in software applications, with emphasis on product planning and life-cycle management;
• Experience on the modern industrial graphical user interfaces;
• Experience on the simulation tools and their usage in industrial applications;
• Strong commercial and technical product management mindset;
• Some experience on terminal automation systems is a clear advantage;
• Industrial customer understanding;
• Good people and communication skills;
• Good commercial and technical understanding and vision.
