We are looking for a

Senior Researcher, Organic Analytics

to join the Research Analytics group. The position is located in Neste Technology Centre, Kilpilahti (Porvoo).

Neste Innovation function’s Research & Development unit drives renewal in the industry. Research Analytics group is a part of this pioneering work and responsible for the analytics supporting R&D projects, product development and production. An essential part of the work is to develop and apply new analytical methods.

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future
 
In your role, you will be responsible for the organic analytics together with a team. You will work closely in cross-functional R&D projects with other researchers, engineers and experts from e.g. R&D, Technical Service and Production. You will also participate in the development of our research laboratory by analyzer investments and method development. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.
 
The best combination to success in this role

• The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:
• At least Master’s degree in organic chemistry (or other similar relevant)
• Solid experience in organic structural analysis and different organic analysis techniques, especially infrared spectroscopy
• Solid experience in spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques
• 5-10 years working experience in the field / research
• Excellent coordination, collaboration and troubleshooting skills
• Proactivity and can-do attitude
• Fluent Finnish and English

We also value:

• Doctorate degree in organic chemistry (or other similar relevant) 
• Broad knowledge in different analysis techniques
• Experience in method development and validation
• Knowledge in chemometry
• Knowledge in project work
