Solution Manager (Data Integration)

Evac is now looking for a Solution Manager, Data integration / Data architect to strengthen Evac’s global ICT team. Data integration and the integration platform are in the heart of the ICT landscape, and the Solution Manager has the overall responsibility of the related activities for developing new integrations between internal applications as well as external business partners. In this position you will be developing integrations yourself and with the support of Evac’s partners within the area. You’ll own Evac’s integrations and data platform related roadmap.

Your daily tasks include 

The Solution Manager is technically in a key role and leads the operation and development of Evac integration platform. You will communicate with business stakeholders, ICT team members and service providers, ensuring that the integration platform and the related services support business in everyday operations and continuously develop towards new digital future. You will develop integrations but also technically think about their data platform and possible solutions there.

Data management has an important role in your workday, so how the data moves between Evac’s inner applications. Your starting role vs the development path depends on your experience and interests, but eventually you would take role as Data Architect looking after a bigger picture related to data management at Evac.

Evac’s have launched major development initiative to capture digital opportunities and to increase their process efficiency. Your task is to guide Evac’s project all the way from high-level architecture to practical, hands-on implementation. The solution you build will be used by Evac’s customers and business users for years to come.

As part of Evac’s lean ICT team, you will manage all aspects of the digital integration services: you will plan the budgets, facilitate development, plan the roadmap and lead the service execution and incident processes. Your development skills are highly appreciated, although you will work with support partners helping you in the development work where needed.

You have also a drive to develop service processes, tools and cooperation in a global environment as well as the prerequisites to work in a fast-paced environment with complex dependencies. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop integrations with Evac integration platform together with development partner
• Manage the overall architecture of Evac’s cloud-based data platform
• Manage external solution vendors work in the integration area
• Serve as point of contact between internal users and external resources and vendors
• Participate in development projects as SME
• Maintain and develop integration related roadmap and budgets
• Continuously improve and develop integration architecture

To succeed in this position, you will have:

• Suitable education (e.g., M.Sc. or B.Sc. in information technology)
• Minimum of 5 years of practical working experience and hands-on skills with integrations A2A and B2B, knowledge of Frends platform is an asset
• Experience and vision on MS Azure cloud & data lake architecture concept, hands-on development experience is a big asset
• Experience in working with service providers and managing their work efficiently; ability to delegate tasks and review and approve their outcomes
• Customer-focused communication and collaboration skills in a multi-cultural environment
• Productive and fearless can-do attitude, organized approach to making things happen
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Proficiency in the Finnish language is considered an advantage
