Generation division is responsible for the large scale power production, physical optimization and trading activities in the Nordic area. This division comprises nuclear, hydro and wind power production, portfolio management and trading, industrial intelligence and nuclear services.

The ONE Team Renewables Fortum/Uniper is responsible for the development of the solar-PV and wind-onshore business of Fortum and Uniper, predominantly in Europe. The renewables business of for Fortum and Uniper is one of the most important pillars of our joint strategic ambitions. Our aim is to deliver more than 1 GW growth p.a. by 2025 the latest creating the basis for the joint 1.5-2 GW asset ownership growth ambition announced by Fortum and Uniper. The cooperation of Fortum and Uniper in this important growth business will translate into a boost of the business, with a bigger joint pipeline and early value creation. The geographical set-up and the existing capabilities of Fortum and Uniper will allow us to enhance the solar and wind ambitions of Fortum and Uniper in all selected geographies.

Your role

Seize the opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and take on a position with great responsibility and possibility to influence further growth – both ours and yours. Being part our Renewables unit, You will participate in the development and management of wind assets in Fortum and Uniper.

As Wind Technical Asset Manager, You contribute with your expertise to our value creation chain; project development, construction, operation and power sales. You will join our Renewables team and act as responsible Technical Asset Manager in Finland and Sweden. Your key task is to secure high and improving technical operative performance in balance with safety requirements and stakeholder expectations.

You will also have the opportunity with your technical expertise contribute in projects and operations in our growing wind fleet in Europe. The location would preferably be Helsinki, Vasa or Närpes region in Finland.

Last but not least, you will travel to the Nordic countries as well as other countries according to our growing business.

Your qualifications

You hold a Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent, along with at least five years’ experience in wind power. Equally important is your practical experience in managing key asset elements as technical performance, safety and stakeholders. You have high mobility and willingness to travel to our sites and contractors internationally. Business fluency in Finnish, Swedish and English is required.

We highly value your personality. As Technical Asset Manager, You need to be open-minded, flexible and result oriented. Not to mention be accountable and always ready to take initiative. Adding your negotiation and organizational skills and ability to work in an international environment with local adaptation, you have what it takes to succeed in this position.
