Fortum is a leading Nordic company within clean energy, offering our customers electricity, district heating and making their everyday lives easier with new technology and innovative solutions. Through our investments in analysis and insight, as well as data-driven decisions, we have established an engaged and competent analysis team with access to large amounts of data. We wish to strengthen the analysis team with a Data manager who will be responsible for development and operations of our data platform across the Nordic countries. We are committed to building a flexible and modern solutions that will help realise Fortum's ambitions within advanced analysis.

As Data manager, you will help us attract and serve our customers in a smarter way by developing and operating our data platform. Fortum has developed a BI soultions based on modern cloud technology, enabling analysis and insight. You will work closely with management, business resources and analysts to esure that we create customer value and business insights from our customer data across all Fortum Consumer Solutions brands. The role will be part of a Nordic team of five persons and will report to the Analysis Manager.

In the role, you will be responsible for developing and operating the BI solution in line with the company's needs for analysis and insight, as well as implementation of the platform in all our business units. You will mainly work with developing the data platform and you will be responsible for an external team assisting with implementation and major development projects using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks and U-SQL. You will work in the interface between technology and business, be responsible for ensuring good data quaility and data availability, as well as support analysts and business resouces in developing analyses that create business value and support our strategy. You are expected to be a change manager in moving towards data-driven business development and increase the knowledge and usage of self-service BI-solutions in the organization. Fortum is a consumer business operting in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Poland, so some travel is expected.

The position can be located in Oslo, Stockholm or Espoo.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have expertise within technology and BI solutions, and you are a problem solver that uses data to create insight for decision making. It is important that you are self-driven and able to prioritize, conscientious and build trust among the business users of your data. You are proactive and not afraid to take lead, you easily build relationships, and you communicate well with your colleagues. As a person you have a curious and innovative mindset, with the desire and ability to dig into complex issues and use hypothesis driven methodology to solve these.

Requirements for education, work experience and professional qualifications:

• MSc in technology and/or IT from a recognized educational institution
• 2-5 years of experience in the IT/ consulting industry or other roles where project management, programming, data processing and BI solutions have been central
• Experience working in the interface between technology and business
• Some knowledge/ interest in learning U-SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Key Vault etc.) and Power BI is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Good commercial understanding
• Experience with project management and agile working methods
• Excellent communication skills in English are required, both written and oral. The working language in Fortum is English
