Business Technology drives digitalization at Fortum, enabling smart solutions for customers, improved asset and trading productivity, and new data driven business models. Your role
As a Business Analyst you will join a small, diverse team providing direct support to the Business Technology (BT) management and Senior Vice President. In this role, you will have exposure to some of the most interesting and forward-looking topics on our BT management team’s agenda and help drive the change for a cleaner world. It is your job to understand and prioritize research needs around digitalization or innovation and utilize both online sources as well as internal or external experts to gather the required insights and information. Moreover, you will learn to summarize these insights in well-structured presentations and reports. Once you master the fundamentals of the job, there will be various opportunities to assume more responsibilities and advance your personal development. You will work closely together with the Head of Operations & Support and the BT management team. In addition, there will be topic-specific touchpoints with various parts of Fortum and external partners which will allow you to expand your professional network.

Your Qualifications
We value first-hand experience from working in an international corporate environment or consulting, either from a permanent role, internship or university project. A good command of MS Power Point, MS Excel, and online search engines as well as previous experience in research and analysis are a big plus for this position.
We put a strong emphasis on the right attitude and mindset. You need to be willing to familiarize yourself with new and changing topics as well as work on them, often on an ad-hoc basis. Moreover, you should have a curious, positive, and creative mindset as well as a hands-on and proactive attitude. However, you do not need to be an expert in the field – we provide the opportunity to learn, make mistakes, and receive feedback, and we help and support each other as a team.
A university degree in e.g. Business, Economics, IT, Engineering or another relevant field is highly valued. Fluency in English as well as a valid work permit for Finland or the European Union is a must.
