Business Development Manager, Waste to Materials

Fortum Recycling&Waste provides recycling and material efficiency services, environmental management and hazardous waste treatment in the Nordics.

We at Fortum believe that all carbon belongs in circulation. This means that also emissions are turned into new raw materials. To do this at scale, we need to rethink CO2 in recycling.

Fortum’s Waste to Materials concept captures CO2 emissions from waste incineration and turns them into materials. This offers a solution for the decarbonisation of waste treatment at hundreds of plants in Europe alone. It also secures a valuable feedstock for new products. Together we can ensure the sustainable use of resources and recycle carbon from waste.

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Waste to Materials program in Fortum Recycling and Waste. You will be working in a dynamic and agile organization with experienced colleagues with diverse background in technology and circular economy. You will be working in close co-operation with various business lines, customers, service providers as well as other internal and external stakeholders. As part of the core team you will be leading our commercial stream,  coordinating and leading all our commercialization activities with different value chain partners and customers.

Your key tasks will be to conceptualize our newly launched Carbon2x concept’s service and product offering for different customers. You are expected to develop a go-to-market strategy and roadmap for different products and customer segments. You will be supporting our different Carbon2x projects by preparing and validating business models for different customers.
