Data Engineer (AWS)

Our global IT client CGI is looking for a data engineer who is keen on building modern data solutions for their client operating in banking and insurance. 

In this role:

You'll be developing meaningful data and analytics solutions for the insurance business area from source data to data-driven tools. As part of a global agile team, you get to provide new data solutions and create data strategies for one of the largest financial companies in Finland. 

The position can be adjusted based on your skills, background and seniority. 

To succeed in this role, we hope you have some of the following skills:

• Experience in working with data lakes or data warehouses.
• Experience in writing ETL jobs with Spark.
• Good knowledge of AWS data storage and analytics services. 
• DevOps mindset (CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with primary technology stack: Glue, Athena, S3, EMR, PySpark, Python, SQL, CloudFormation, Lambda, CodePipeline, CDK, Typescript, Databricks. 
• Good communication skills in English and in Finnish.
