Designer, Deck Outfitting

Helsinki Shipyard is looking for a Deck Outfitting Designer for the deck outfitting design department in the historical location in the heart of Helsinki.

We offer a unique position in the global shipbuilding industry overlooking a dynamic project portfolio of high-quality passenger vessels, yachts, and special purpose vessels. You will work with a skilled team of deck outfitting designers from various backgrounds and as a part of a multidisciplinary design and project organization.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work in different projects as a Deck Outfitting Designer, entailing system specific design tasks, coordination work with external design parties and communication and cooperation with the production teams. A more specific work role will be defined together with the new employee in accordance with individual interests and know-how.

To succeed in this role, you would ideally have a technical or design background and work experience in project business. A knowledge of design work and the ability to understand and produce technical drawings is a must. Experience in the field of shipbuilding or other marine industry experience would be seen as an advantage.

An ideal candidate would be a team-player with good social skills and a positive attitude. Being organized and having the ability to juggle multiple tasks at the same time will help you to succeed in this role.
