Fortum Recycling&Waste provides recycling and material efficiency services, environmental management and hazardous waste treatment in the Nordics.

As the Fortum’s Recycling and Waste business is steadily growing, we are also developing our organization and its management. We are now looking for a leader who is part of ensuring the future development and the overall success of the Recycling and Waste business.

The role is located in Espoo, Finland.

About the role

You will be leading Fortum Recycling & Waste Business Area digitalization development focusing first on areas of Customer Experience and Transaction Management Systems. You manage efficient digitalization development and ensure in fluent cooperation with Fortum Business Technology Team that Recycling & Waste is forerunner in digital customer and automation solutions.

 Main purpose and responsibilities are:

• Lead business development at digitalization domains of Customer Experience and Transaction Core
• Manage team of Recycling & Waste Application Experts (product owners)
• Ensure high quality business needs and pipeline management to enable efficient delivery by Fortum Business Technology development teams
• Ensure implementation and build organizational capabilities to utilize digital solutions at Recycling & Waste business area
• Costs & budget responsibility of own field of operations & development projects for Recycling & Waste Management

By implementing digitalization solutions for customers and operative teams, you are able to support whole organization to build increased customer value at every day work. You lead the organization change to utilize modern technology and ensure continuous improvement in your field of responsibility. With your proven implementation capability and communication skills you are able to understand business requirements, convert those to development initiatives and lead development.

You will be working at Recycling & Waste Operational Excellence team, driving continuous improvement of our business operations. Work is including implementations, roll-outs and continuous improvement activities of our just modernized ERP platform across all Recycling & Waste Business Lines. Main target being to build new digital solutions to improve customer experience on top of our modernized ERP platform.

As a key person at our organization with major contribution to our performance, you will be working as “spider on the net” with close cooperation with our various business line stakeholders, customers and enabling functions, such as Fortum Business Technology. You are member of our Operational Excellence management team and business area IT-board.

What we are looking for

You have minimum 5 years’ experience at demanding managerial and/or development positions at digitalization development preferably at industrial and/or B2B environment.

Master’s degree from relevant field, for example Information Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics.

You have proven track record of your implementation skills to operative organizations and experience of ERP systems at transactional and industrial B2B environment.

You are experienced in identifying and defining customer and business opportunities and formulating those into vision, roadmap and deliveries in collaboration with customers, business, design and technology.

You understand how to organize efficient development pipeline from ideation into implementation and value capture.

English is your main working language, Finnish and Swedish considered as benefit.

Mindset of doing, development and continuous improvement is prerequisite.
