City Solutions division is responsible for developing sustainable city solutions into a growing business for Fortum. The division comprises heating and cooling, waste-to-energy, recycling and expertise sales.

Your role

We are looking for a Manager, EHSQ in the Fortum eNext, City Solutions division’s business area. The primary location for the job is in Keilalahti, Espoo, Finland, but also other locations can be considered.

Your job is to manage, develop, monitor, and report the implementation of our EHSQ requirements, targets and actions. Development and management of business security will be a part of your role.

In this position you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and the corporate requirements and instructions. You will also implement and administer quality programs and initiatives within the eNext business. You will work with suppliers, customers and internal groups to improve our quality and customer experience. You will also review reports to examine compliance, audit operations, ensure operational efficiency and demonstrate compliance in relation to our requirements and external standards.

In addition, your task is to support customer delivery projects, O&M site operations and workshops globally to secure safe working conditions and environmental protection. The aim is to continuously improve quality, environmental and safety performance and culture among our employees. You will also be responsible for managing and improving our Management system and certifications.

You will work in close co-operation with Corporate Sustainability function, other Divisions, City Solutions business areas and locations in all countries. As a manager and expert you will give a significant input by developing, supporting and steering the EHSQ operations. You will report to the Vice President, Fortum eNext.

Your qualifications

You preferably hold an MSc in Engineering or in another related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the EHSQ field. We expect you to be familiar in particular with safety, and to be acquainted with legislation and the respective authorities. You should have deep knowledge and practical experience regards to the ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001 and other relevant standards for the industry.

Success in this role calls for an active person with leadership skills, interested in developing new ways of working and not afraid of overcoming obstacles and achieving results. In this position, it is also essential to have good communication and interpersonal skills. Good team work skills are important, as the role involves working with many internal and external stakeholders. We also expect you to have good English skills.
