Electrical Design Engineer

Port Solutions is one of Konecranes’ main business areas, and it designs, manufactures, sells, delivers and services a wide variety of container handling cranes, shipyard cranes and lift trucks. A critical part of Port Solutions is Port Services, whose technical support team provides global support to internal frontline units and customers for complex retrofits and modernizations requiring technical expertise.

To further strengthen our technical support capacity, we are now seeking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer. You will take responsibility for supporting our global delivery projects with expertise in electrical engineering and design. You will also co-operate closely with both internal and external stakeholders. The work location is Hyvinkää, and remote work is possible within Konecranes guidelines.

Your key responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and update electrical drawings using electrical CAD system E3.schematic
• Propose technical solutions related to electrical engineering and implement solutions in electrical design
• Detailed electrical design (including electrical components selection, schematic design, and components layout design) related to global delivery projects
• Provide support related to electrical design for global delivery projects
• Consult stakeholders

What you should bring

• Degree in electrical engineering (bachelor’s or master’s level)
• Proven track record of delivering electrical designs, preferably in a heavy industry context
• Experience with electrical design, electrical drawings, and designing in an Electrical CAD environment (E3. schematic as a preference, other systems are beneficial)
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, technology, and background in the lifting or machinery industry is highly beneficial.

To succeed in this role, you will also need to have strong teamworking and social skills. Fluency in both spoken and written English skills is a must, other language skills are beneficial. This role requires business travel occasionally.
