ERP Data & Analytics Stream Lead

to join us in ERP+ program and lead Data & Analytics stream through global ERP template design and implementation project across all Metsä Group Business Areas.

Your role in the future Metsä

You are working in a key role leading Data & Analytics stream in ERP+ Program for planning, managing and delivering data & analytics related design, harmonization and solutions. You are an essential part of the program core team and operative steering group. You will be supported in your role by ERP+ Project Manager, Data & Analytics Process Owner, Data Management Lead and Data & Analytics Lead

What do you get to do?

Your responsibilities as ERP Data & Analytics Stream Lead include:

  • Managing all aspects of Data & Analytics stream to successfully deliver program targets together with key vendor
  • There are two key areas in Data & Analytics stream, data content related work and reporting & analytics. Your main focus area in daily work will be in data content related work (data design, harmonization, migration, governance, management and related solutions) while coordinating overall stream level activities also in reporting & analytics area
  • Providing project leadership, work direction and feedback to stream, program and internal and external stakeholder direction
  • Developing, communicating and overseeing detailed project plans in Data & Analytics area and setting delivery expectations including metrics, work plans, schedules, resource plans, costs, budgets and status reports
  • Active risk management
  • Reporting the stream's status and potential issue escalation in a timely manner
  • Stream plans schedule alignment with other Metsä Group projects having dependencies to Data & Analytics work
  • Presenting formal presentations and executive summaries to senior management to provide recommendations and status updates

What do we expect from you?

  • A strong 10+ years background in Data & Analytics, IT and industry-specific work. Backround especially with data management, harmonization, migration and data management tools is seen as an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience of working as a project manager or stream lead in large projects
  • Proven track record on successfully managing a full lifecycle of large Data & Analytics design, harmonization and solution implementation preferably in big SAP implementation projects in a global multi-business area environment. Preferably experience in data work in SAP S/4 HANA projects.
  • Ability to cope with uncertainty
  • Organizational change management experience
  • Solid vendor management skills with data and software vendors and systems integrators in international multivendor environment
  • Good negotiation and communication skills. Comfort in communicating with senior-level management
  • Positive, service minded attitude and good problem solving skills
  • Fluent English and Finnish skills.

What you need to succeed?

In addition to meeting the set expectations above You need to be a good match to our existing team. A person with genuine desire to learn new concepts and businesses, solid professional background and capability to deliver, but also a person that fits in and can adopt. You need to be able to motivate work of others outside of direct authority to ensure that project milestones and deliverables are met. Ability to show concepts in real terms, to people from bottom to top of organization, is a powerful asset also in Metsä. And last but not least you need to be comfortable working with senior leaders when those leaders do not agree. Experience in forest and paper industry is considered an extra asset.
