Your mission and how you’ll make an impact
You will be part of a small and flexible team in Finland and collaborate with colleagues in the Nordic countries, everyone dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to our wide range of customers. You will be travelling 3-4 days a week and regularly visit our oxygen plants in Joutseno and Harjavalta as well as the gas cylinder refilling plant in Nokia and our customers located in the whole of Finland.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be planning, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, pumps, valves, motors, and other plant equipment as required at our oxygen plants and gas cylinder plants. You will also design, install, perform maintenance and upkeep cryogenic equipment at Air Liquide and customer owned facilities.
As a part of your role, you will also create and update work instructing, and do documentation of the installations or maintenance you are performing.
At Air Liquide, we aim to continuously improve our processes to provide an even higher quality and service to our customers. When you have been properly introduced in your role, you will be responsible for development. optimization and implementation of driving parameters of the production processes and improvement of the maintenance system. This is an exciting opportunity for you who would like to get a deep understanding of industrial gas applications, and would like to develop as an expert within production and maintenance.
Who are you?
To thrive in this role, you have a technical educational background and have previously worked within mechanical or electrical roles where you have been performing maintenance or reparations. You have experience of working in a field based role and are able to independently troubleshoot and provide diagnostics.
We don’t expect you to have previous experience within gas, but that you are willing to take your own initiatives to learn and able to share your knowledge with your team. Your colleagues would describe you as someone they can rely on and who always is open to the customer about the solutions we can provide.
You are used to working with different process control computer systems, have knowledge about PLC systems and have good computer skills. You have good knowledge of writing and speaking in Finnish and English. It’s a merit if you have an understanding of one of the Nordic languages (Danish, Norwegian or Swedish).
This position is located in Southern Finland where you will be based at our office in Nokia, but we see that you preferably live close our plant in Joutseno. The position requires you to travel 3-4 days a week and you will be provided with a company car. You report to Manager Technical Service Finland, Patrik Söderlund.
