Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading, and hauling, tunneling, and quarrying.
The Parts & Services Division has a unique opportunity for a Field Service Inspections Specialist to develop and implement effective operations equipment inspections processes, procedures, and tools and to support regional Sales Areas to apply and integrate these into their local operations.
In this role, you will develop inspection criteria and content and define best practice processes for conducting equipment inspections in field or in workshop. You develop inspection models for new products in conjunction with the New Product Development and Lifecycle team and you gather change requirements for inspection tools and processes resulting from on-going maintenance and equipment inspections.
You assist with the development of effective equipment inspection processes used by regional Service Technicians and you assist the competence development team with content creation to support learning development of best practice for the application and use of inspection tools and processes.
Digitalisation of inspection processes is a priority, and you will be instrumental in identifying and implementing continuous improvements and new technologies to drive the digitalization of inspections.
In this position, you report to the Global Field Service Operations Manager, Service Operations and international travel is a natural part of your job. The position will be in Tampere or Turku in Finland, or Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Are you who we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with an engineering or technical qualification or relevant experience. You have previous experience as a Technical Writer or Parts Interpreter, and you have several years of experience in equipment inspections and audits in the mining or heavy equipment industry. You have a strong background in managing projects and your experience with field maintenance will be a big advantage. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.

You are highly organized, with great time management skills and the ability to pick up on the details.
