Financial Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Coordinator to join our Accounting and Tax team in Fortum Financial Service unit in the Espoo headquarters.      

As Financial Coordinator you will work closely with companies operating in our “Light Financial Service model”. The service model is utilizing mainly outsourced accounting services and Oracle NetSuite accounting system.  

Your main responsibilities include active cooperation with internal stakeholders and external service provider for accounting and local compliance. You ensure that financial operations are delivered on-time. You will also contribute towards adoption of digitalization and new ways of working on accounting.  

Your responsibilities include:  

• Supporting internal stakeholders and external service provider 
• Daily follow-up and handling service requests 
• Coordinate and monitor the tasks performed by service provider including financial statements 
• Participate in audit processes 
• Reporting to group in compliance with group guidelines 
• Participate in projects to implement new companies to service model 
• Contribution to development initiatives and process enhancement, such as digitalization/RPA, efficient utilization of reporting tools and service model development

What we are looking for

You should have excellent coordination skills and good practical knowledge of accounting and taxation. We expect you to have good interpersonal skills with the capability to build cooperation networks in large and international organizations. As a person you are self-directed, you have a solution-oriented mindset and you are willing to learn by doing. Experience of finance applications Oracle NetSuite and HFM as well as basic understanding of general international accounting and taxation practices are beneficial. 

Ideally you would have: 

• Excellent coordination skills
• Equivalent degree in Business/Accounting 
• Good practical knowledge of Accounting and taxation 
• Good understanding of financial operations and processes 
• Experience in finance applications, Oracle NetSuite & HFM as well as MS Office tools 
• Good communication and language skills in Finnish and English 
• Development-orientated and positive can-do attitude as well as good co-operation skills 
• Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility in working hours 
• Strong collaboration, influencing and team working skills with flexible, positive and proactive attitude towards changing and global work environment.
