IT Project Manager

Your role

The SMR IT Project Manager is a position within the SMR IT Delivery function, which aims to deliver on global projects in strong collaboration with our business stakeholders. These projects will support business objectives such as Digital transformation, ERP transformation initiatives and Integration of newly acquired companies into the SMR IT Landscape. 

Location for this role is in Finland (Tampere or Turku) or Sweden (Stockholm). Some travel, up to 25% of your time, is included in the job. You report in to the SMR IT Delivery – and you are a team player that supports the project management team in best practices and developing tools for project management.

Responsibilities include:

• In your first assignment, manage all Connected Systems related components for the SAP 4/Hana program through all project phases (planning, execution, closing)
• Coordinate any Connected Systems related activity with the Systems Integrator (SI), program workstreams and other third-party vendors
• Apply relevant Project Management methodologies to drive successful Projects 
• Be proactive in anticipating potential challenges and addressing them
• Manage the on-time and on-budget delivery of the projects
• Identify and manage the project risks and issues through ensuring that appropriate mitigation strategies are in place and escalate appropriately
• Ensure governance and structures are in place to support Project control, monitoring and reporting
• Work closely with delivery stakeholders to secure timely involvement in the projects
• Work with the Service Delivery Managers to ensure service levels reflect appropriately incoming service requirements for new Services in SMR IT
• Engage with Deployment Managers to ensure the development of cut-over and deployment plans
• Collaborate with all functional and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of activities
• Create an environment that supports continuous connectivity, collaboration and knowledge sharing

Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a university degree in IT, Business Management or Engineering or with equivalent knowledge and prior experience of the corresponding job in a global company. Formal Project Management qualification such as Prince2, PMP and training in agile methodologies is preferable.

You have experience in managing projects for implementation of critical business applications that require some level of change management. As we work in an international setting, you communicate effortlessly in English, both verbally and in writing.
