Java Full Stack Developer, Insurance

Our global IT client CGI is looking for a Java Full Stack Developer who is keen on building modern solutions for their client operating in the financial and insurance industry. 

In this role

In this long-term project, you get to do hands-on coding and as a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable with front-end Javascript e.g. React, TypeScript, and backend software written in Java, public cloud infra (AWS), Rest APIs and Kubernetes.

This team works in Agile methodologies, and besides the Developers, you get to collaborate with other stakeholders as well. With your team, you get to work with one of Finland's largest and most well-known financial companies.

Due to NDA more information about the client and the project is told in the interview phase.

NB! This position is also suitable for independent entrepreneurs/freelancers.

Key technologies and competencies

• Comprehensive understanding of Java and Java-based web development frameworks such as Spring Boot
• Experience with frontend technologies /HTML/CSS/JavaScript and preferably ReactJS or TypeScript framework
• Rest APIs
• Setting up and modifying software automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Good communication skills in English.

Other valued aspects

• Ability to work as a senior developer in a team with a once-a-week office day in Helsinki
• Experience working with offshore
• Ability to share your knowledge to other members of the team.

Our client's office is located in Helsinki but your location may be elsewhere in Finland if you are able and willing to travel to our client’s office occasionally.
