Being part of our Renewables unit, you will participate in the development and management of wind assets in Fortum and Uniper.
As Junior Asset Manager you will join our Renewables team and be managing a portfolio of wind assets on behalf of Fortum and external investors. Your key task is to ensure that projects achieve optimal returns during their operation, whilst maintaining the highest standards in operational safety and efficiency. Collaboration with several Fortum support functions will be part of your daily work, such as performance analysis, procurement, development, construction, legal, insurance, electricity sales etc.
In this position, you will get the opportunity to develop within a renewables area where the business mindset and technology meet. In addition you will also have the opportunity to contribute in projects and operations in our growing renewable fleet around Europe.
The location would preferably be in Espoo, Finland or Solna, Sweden.
Last but not least, you will travel to the Nordic countries as well as other countries according to our growing business.
Objectives for Junior Asset Manager, Renewables
Some of the main responsibilities within asset management are listed below. However, as a junior asset manager you would be working closely together with more experienced colleagues with the ambition to handle the asset more independently over time.
- Effective risk identification and risk management (including Health & Safety implications).
- Dealing with contracts along with proven ability to liaise with and manage/monitor contractors.
- Stakeholder management and motivation to drive a team of counterparts.
- Budgeting & cost control
- Technical and commercial optimization of the performance of operational assets
- Diagnose technical issues and identify solutions / improvements
- Higher education with technical and/or commercial focus
- You do not need to be an experienced professional in the renewable industry, however, if you have the drive and interest in the field, we are offering the possibility to become one.
- Business fluency in English, Finnish and Swedish is essential.
