Junior Tax Manager, Tax Optimization

Fortum is utility producing electricity and heat, waste recycling services as well as related services in 30 countries. Fortum Corporate tax team is managing Fortum tax position globally in line with responsible tax management principles. We are a forerunner in transparency of our tax contribution, we have reported our tax footprint already since 2012. We are developing our tax management to ensure shareholder value and value for the society where we operate.

About the role

Junior Tax manager, Tax Optimization will work with tax optimization of our tax position mainly within corporate income tax and VAT. You will work with businesses and corporate functions to find optimal solutions in different business transactions ensuring that our profits are taxed once rather than multiple times. You will support other Corporate tax team functions in connection to operations in different countries. You have an important role ensuring that we are compliant with existing rules and that our communication to tax authorities is open and correct. You have an opportunity to contribute development of our tax management.

The position is located in Keilalahti, Espoo.

What we are looking for

You should have a legal or financial education with three to four years of experience in tax matters. Tax matters are often complex, so good and clear communication skills are crucial. Open mind and curiosity for new things is important together with good team working skills. As we are using English as our working language English skills are important, but good skills in Finnish, Swedish or German are beneficial. You should have the basic skills in using IT tools.
