Lead Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Your job includes process electrical engineering in diverse and global industrial investment projects where you can develop your professional skills. Depending on your capabilities and skills, you will be able to design, among other things, process motor drives, power distribution for industries, auxiliary electrical systems and cabling. You will be able to participate in the implementation and execution of industrial projects. You also get to participate directly in the customer interface to solve electrical design issues that come up in the project. From time to time, it will also be possible to participate in factory commissionings and work as a site support engineer on construction site in foreign and domestic projects.

As a lead engineer, you get to lead the electrical engineering team in multidiscipline engineering projects and to do engineering in preliminary project phases together with the project team. You also get the opportunity to develop your skills in team leading, electrical engineering and project management.

Our organization is mainly involved with large scale engineering projects for paper, chemical and mining industries. We are usually doing projects from concept studies to plant start-up.

We are looking for an engineer to join our electrical engineering team in Vantaa or Kouvola. Other local AFRY offices in Finland can also be considered as a job location. For example our electrical engineering global project team members are located also in Tampere, Mikkeli and Lappeenranta.

Qualifications

The person we are looking for has:

• Master or Bachelor level electrical engineering education
• Finnish skills and fluent English skills, other language skills are also beneficial
• Good attitude

In addition, we appreciate good collaboration and communication skills. Readiness to travel in Finland and abroad is also seen as an advantage.

You can already be a more experienced engineer, changing career or just graduated.
