Marketing and Communications Manager, Energy, Process and Marine Automation

The purpose of this position is to develop, drive and be a part of implementing global go to market and lifecycle marketing for Valmet's energy, process and marine automation business. You will play a key role in enabling the implementation of our growth strategy - a chance to play an active role in the global energy transition.

To take our business forward and contribute to building the Valmet brand, your responsibilities will include: 

• Defining and coordinating go to market and lifecycle marketing and communications plans for the BU's solutions in close collaboration with business, product management and marketing colleagues

• Developing concepts and related go to market activities, tools and materials

• Ensuring success in building awareness and consideration for new market segments and maintaining high-quality customer engagement for existing customers 

• Overseeing the global marketing and communications budget for your business unit's marketing activities

• Following up KPI's and continuously iterating based on results 

• As a member of the business unit management team, be the sparring partner of your business and product management colleagues

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

• At least five years of relevant working experience (eg. concepting, go to market planning and implementation, agency management, content creation, digital demand generation). International marketing experience is a plus.

• Relevant educational background, e.g. bachelor or master level degree in business, marketing or communications

• Excellent networking and negotiating skills, ability to influence and collaborate in matrix organization with many stakeholders

• Ability to plan and organize and to take responsibility for actions and results 

• Innovative mind-set and creativity, positive attitude and adaptability to changing circumstances

• Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, Finnish and other European languages are an asset

• Willingness to travel to some extent
