Your role

As Payroll Specialist you will be part of our Nordic salary team and work with Finnish salary-related topics in close co-operation with HR, payroll vendor, authorities, customers and other stakeholders. Position is located in Espoo, Finland.

Payroll Specialist is responsible for advising and supporting business operations in different payroll and employment related matters. You will be responsible for hands-on tasks for all Finnish Fortum group companies. Service delivery is done in accordance with time and quality promises. You will be advising in standalone various cases as well as training business operations in practical matters such as time management system usage. Your work will include participation in different projects with external and internal stakeholders.

Development support is part of your work: processes, applications, trainings, instructions. You will take part in problem solving and sharing best practices across the Nordic team. You will follow up changes in law and collective agreements and share information to stakeholders for possible changes to systems, etc. You will primarily focus on Finnish organization and tasks, but part of the work includes global elements and tasks.

Your qualifications

We believe that suitable candidates have relevant education and a few years of experience in payroll-related independent work. Knowledge of areas such as Finnish Energy and Chemistry collective agreements and labour law are important. Experience of book keeping related topics or expatriates are definite merits. You have very good written and spoken Finnish and English skills, and are proficient in MS Office. We expect you to be a hands-on person with a positive can-do attitude. You are capable of working independently and have good co-operation skills.
