Product Owner, Mobile

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Digitalisation team in Espoo to a full-time and permanent position

The Neste App is a significant player in the fuel and car wash payment market in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and we aim for continued growth in Finland among both B2B and B2C customers in the future as well. 

Neste’s commitment to sustainability extends to all channels including mobile with Neste MY Renewable Diesel at the core of our offering to both heavy and light vehicles. Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular and are already supported within the Neste App. As we expand our EV charging network we need to further develop our App with this in mind.

As the Product Owner for our mobile App you will work together with stakeholders in Finland and the Baltics. Good communication and influencing skills are key to understanding the needs of different customer segments and to support decision making.

In your role you will
 
Together with the mobile team, you are responsible for developing Neste’s mobile app and will also work closely with our marketing and sales teams. You will lead the work to continuously improve our customer experience by steering the development of new features but also refining and renewing current functionality. A customer oriented mindset is essential for success as a Product Owner. Data and analytics form an increasingly integral part of our business and play a key role in refining our services.
 
As Product Owner you will be part of an agile development team and work closely with your team of developers but also with the mobile Service Owner and IT in a release focused agile and incremental development model. Most importantly you will be the voice of the business to ensure we are focusing on and delivering the right things.
 
The keys to success in the position
 
We hope you have some of the following skills and are interested to learn more

  • Great communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders (eg. Business owners, Marketing Product Owners, IT experts, vendors)
  • Agile development: Scrum or scaled Agile models like SAFe / LeSS
  • Leading developers and UX designers
  • Understanding of how to apply modern web technology and CMS systems
  • An understanding of Customer Experience and ambition to continuously improve it
  • Problem solving skills but also the ability to tell stories and to listen
  • Passion for excellence
  • Experience or willingness to work in an international context

We also value

  • Facilitation skills
  • Good business acumen
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably from large, complex design and/or implementation projects
  • Experience with payment systems
  • Experience in B2B business development
  • Experience in applying design thinking methodologies in previous projects
