In Division Underground Drilling within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions we set the industry standard for premium drilling equipment solutions in underground mining and tunneling. Our Product Safety team is currently looking for a proactive and experienced Product Safety Engineer. The position is based in Tampere, Finland, which is the center of Drilling, Automation and Software Technology.
About your role
As a Product Safety Engineer, your main responsibility is to ensure together with key stakeholders that new and existing products placed into market are in compliance with the applicable safety regulations in their intended market areas, and that the documentation related to product safety is in proper level. In this role, you will focus on improving product safety in our current products and in new product development projects. Risk assessments and functional safety analyses as well as producing safety related documents for customers, authorities and engineering are part of your expertise. You feel comfortable in giving training internally on product safety regulations and processes.
About you
You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety or other related field of study and a deep understanding of risk assessment methods and functional safety. You have a mindset of safety first culture with strong machinery safety knowledge. You are a good team player and able to work in international multi-cultural environment. Fluent spoken and written English is expected.
