We are now looking for a Project Manager, Electrification & Automation to join UPM Raflatac in Tampere, Finland.

“You will be a part of our Global Operations Development Technical Group team that is responsible for Capex investments engineering and implementation for Coating & Mixing systems. What you will do

  • Work as part of Technical Group being responsible for all aspects of electrical & automation projects and development work

  • Participate also in modification and upgrading of existing coating & mixing process equipment and systems

  • Develop, manage & participate into assigned Capex and Development projects from problem definition through Prefeasibility, Request for Quotations, Contracts, Installation, Commissioning, Training and Handing Overs so that short and long-term targets for project objectives are realized

  • Work in close cooperation with global equipment & systems suppliers and UPM Raflatac other teams to improve efficiency, product quality, serviceability, troubleshooting, machine safety and usability of our production processes & machinery

  • Development and participate into engineering, hardware & instrumentation design as well automation design. Also developing, guiding and coordination of external/internal programming & engineering resources

  • Maintain and make appropriate project and maintenance documentation into document management system

  • Communicate equipment & process changes and developments to technical group, operation development teams, maintenance teams and production personnel

  • Develop needed engineering and project management tools

Who you are

  • You have a minimum 5 years work experience and knowledge in

    • Siemens Automation, PLC devices (S7 Classic, TIA) and HMI systems (Wonderware Intouch, Siemens WinCC, Siemens panels). Other PLC systems experience is a plus

    • ABB and/or Siemens AC line Drives and tension control systems

    • Automation networks Profibus, Profinet and ProfiSafe

    • OPC data transfer architecture

    • Electrical power distribution 

  • You know how to do also HW-design with AutoCad

  • You have good teamwork, leadership and collaboration skills

  • You are willing to travel as our projects are located globally at UPM Raflatac sites or at new locations

  • You have good spoken and written English skills, German is a plus

  • You have a university or polytechnic degree in Electrification & Automation engineering
