We are now on the lookout for a Purchasing Engineer for permanent position at ABB Marine & Ports in Helsinki. The employment will start as soon as possible.
As a Purchasing Engineer you will be performing purchase orders from various suppliers as a part of ABB Marine & Ports propulsion service unit. You will be working in close contact with project management, engineering and sales, ensuring that various required materials are delivered with the right quality and on time. You will also document purchase orders, delivery documents and invoices all while ensuring that various processes are conducted according to agreements, standards and legislations. As a part of active communication with both national and international suppliers, you will compare, analyze and negotiate price levels and perform competitive bidding.
What we are looking for:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a suitable field of engineering studies (E.g. Electricity, hydraulics, mechanics)
- Familiarity with supply chain management and acquisition
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle various projects simultaneously
- A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish
