Renewable Products Supply Development Specialist, Data & Analytics

to join our Renewable Products Supply Excellence team in Espoo, Finland.

The team is being built currently and is intended to be a part of the global Renewable Products Supply function. In this position you will have the unique opportunity to be a part of the team from the early phase and thus be involved in designing our ways of working and the overall approach to our scope and portfolio.

We have an innovative and dynamic team of highly skilled experts working in the Renewable Products Supply function. Our team is responsible for ensuring timely and sufficient supply of sustainable, renewable feedstocks to our refineries. We work in close collaboration with our feedstock suppliers spread across multiple continents as well as a wide group of internal stakeholders participating in the key supply processes such as Logistics & Operations, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability and Group Treasury.

We have ambitious targets to grow our renewable feedstocks’ volume potential in the coming years with a specific focus on waste and residue materials. To achieve this we need both new, innovative ways of working as well as refinement of our current processes and tools to increase efficiency in managing our supply processes, supplier management practises and supply intelligence, to name a few.

Your part in Neste journey

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities

  • Operate and develop the process and tools for managing our global feedstock supply potential, including also prospects and short to mid term forecasts
  • Aggregate data and build models, such as segmentation, concerning our portfolio of suppliers and volumes to support the team with relevant insights helping to meet the supply strategy
  • Drive global harmonization and improvements in supply and supplier data reporting and analytics through utilizing a variety of tools such as PowerBI and Google Sheets
  • Coordinate our global approach on market intelligence related data collection, processes and tools through collaboration with regional teams and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Participate in key global development projects regarding feedstock supply and suppliers and gather inputs from the Supply team and suppliers to be utilised for ensuring successful implementation

You will work closely with our key internal stakeholders as well as occasionally with our feedstock suppliers to strengthen our abilities to meet our growth targets and successfully execute our supply strategy. You will report to the Supply Development Manager located in Espoo, Finland.

Keys to success in this role

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 

  • A Master’s degree, or a Bachelor’s, within Business Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience from data analytics related (or equivalent) positions is considered as an advantage
  • Previous experience from Sourcing or Sales related positions, preferably within commodities, is seen beneficial, as well as experience from supplier or customer management
  • Fluent English skills, both written and verbal, are required in this position. Other languages are seen as a plus.
  • Solid capabilities in collecting and refining raw data from a variety of input systems to deliver insights and analysis. Such systems for input, data collection and/or analysis can include for instance Google Sheets/Excel, ERP systems, CRM/SRM systems, trading software and data visualisation tools such as PowerBI.

  • Experience from working with a global team and key stakeholders located in various countries
  • Ability to gather insights efficiently and in a systematic way to produce holistic overviews and generate proposals on a harmonized and efficient approach on data driven development items
  • Curiosity, interest in constant learning and the ability to challenge the status quo
