Sales Manager, Partner Business

We are looking for a Sales Manager focused on the sales through Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners globally for the energy and process industries. The preferred location is our Tampere office.

As a Sales Manager your work consists of developing and maintaining good relationships with our existing VAR partners and establishing close cooperation with new VAR partners together with our global regional sales organization. You will be the contact person for assigned VAR partners (Key Account Manager) and will, together with our specialists, develop automation solutions to our VAR partners.

Our VAR partner network is global and your main task will be the sales of Valmet DNA (DCS) and information management solutions through our VAR partners to energy and process industry customers. In this position you have an opportunity to obtain international experience when working with our VAR partners and our regional sales organization around the world.

Requirements

The position of a Sales Manager requires technical expertise, therefore we see that you have M.Sc./B.Sc. degree in automation, power plant and process industry technology knowhow and especially experience in Valmet DNA DCS system. Experience in sales or automation projects within the energy industry or process industry is required for this position.

You should have the ability to work with long-term targets and strategy, and to be a resource for our VAR partners / customers in terms of new ideas, products and services. This requires a s strategic perspective and good planning skills as well as a solution-oriented mindset. Negotiation skills and contract knowledge is a natural part of the job, which is why you should already have some experience in negotiations, and you should enjoy working with technically demanding products. As our VAR partner network is global, you should be prepared to travel to meet our customers (Covid-19 restrictions currently applying).

With your good communication and interpersonal skills, you are able to build and keep up good relationships with both external and internal clients. Good command of both Finnish and English language is essential in this position.
