EMEA Pulp and Paper Services Operations is operating locally in Finland and across areas by supporting the local sales and having direct deliveries to the end customers. The organization employs close to 200 professionals who are managing high number of deliveries and projects on annual basis to drive our customer's performance forward.
We are now looking for a Service Specialist to work for on-site roll service for the Board and Paper Machine technology area.
Your main tasks as a Service Specialist are:
- Act as a supervisor in on-site overhauls of press section rolls at customer sites with the help of our own department team, partners, or customer personnel.
- Testing and measuring, optimization and troubleshooting of press section nip rolls
- Generating reports (service reports, feedback for equipment and processes development)
- Work closely with other group team members, sales support, Mill Sales Managers and experts in engineering and technology.
We expect you to have a suitable technical education (M.Sc. or a B.Sc.) in addition experience of press section mechanics, rolls and process is a benefit. Experience working in customer sites, knowledge of hydraulics and control systems lets you contribute to success in your work.
Most importantly, we are looking for a true team player with customer-facing attitude. You will work with both internal and external stakeholder groups so good networking skills are needed as well as passion for troubleshooting and focus on delighting customers. You can prioritize your work, remain focused and excel under pressure and are skilled at achieving results in a variety of customer situations.
As a Service Specialist travelling and visiting customer sites is important part of the job. Our customers are mainly in Europe, but also in other Valmet market areas. You have ability and willingness to travel 100 - 120 days annually, both foreign and domestic. You communicate fluently in English and Finnish. Other languages are a benefit. In your daily tasks, you will use Valmet IT tools and MS Office software's, managing these programs or systems is a good advantage.
