Valmet Fiber Field Services Operations, Finland execute maintenance services and improvement projects to our customers and technologies mainly in pulp and paper industry. We are specialized in offering strong expertise in challenging projects and providing professional service to our customers in different stages of mechanical pulping equipment/processes or stock preparation equipment/processes.

As our current person is moving on to the new challenges, we are now looking for a Service Specialist with team leader responsibilities to join our field services team operating with mechanical pulping and stock preparation equipment.

As a Service Specialist you will be responsible to guide and resource team of field service specialists. You will be also in charge of the small field service project management.

Your expertise is needed in

• Field service resource planning & dispatching, organization and schedule control
• Team information control, team member motivation and encouragement
• Essential part of co-operation, distribution of liabilities and generate good atmosphere
• Subcontractor co-operation with procurement
• Team targets and assistance in annual reviews by guidelines from line management
• Project management responsibility as well as organize and coordinate required technology know-how, application and resources from stakeholders (engineering, field services, resources, material and tool follow-up)
• Meetings and technical negotiations with internal and external customers
• You might give technical support for other areas and regions as well as maintain business development and co-operate with global functions and the sales organizations
• You might give sales support includes technical scope and solution definition, technical calculations and dimensioning, preparing of sales documents and technical proposals as well as cost calculations

Final area of responsibility and the learning path will be defined based on applicant's experience.

What do we expect from you?

To be successful in this position you need to have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent experience.

The job requires service attitude with good communication and team playing skills. Knowledge and previous working experience with stock preparation equipment or mechanical pulping equipment. Sub-process areas like refining, pulping, screening or thickening could be for example your specialty. As well as knowledge of basic IT tools (ERP-system, PDM and MS Office) are appreciated in this position. However, the most important requirement is the willingness to learn new things and co-operate with different stakeholders inside and outside Valmet. Safety at work and safety development actions is something that is natural and specific to your way of working. You can communicate well in Finnish and English and skills in other languages are an advantage. The task may include also travelling both in Finland and abroad.

Stock preparation and mechanical pulping technology and its team are focused on Valmet's Tampere office, and we primarily aim to fulfill this position also in the Tampere location.
