Konecranes has three main business areas - Port Solutions, Industrial Cranes and Service. Port Solutions designs, manufactures, sells, delivers and services a wide variety of container handling cranes, shipyard cranes and lift trucks.
Business Unit Port Cranes, an important part of the Port Solutions, is now looking to hire a dedicated professional who is motivated to take responsibility for managing subcontracted site operations. As our Site Operations Manager, you will work closely with external partners – such as erection and installation subcontractors, manpower and supervisory suppliers – as well with internal stakeholders – such as colleagues from supply operations, project management, logistics, HSE and quality functions.
Your key responsibilities:
• Managing and coordinating global site operations subcontracting network
• Preparing and negotiating site erection PO:s and contracts
• Planning site concepts
• Developing site productivity in close cooperation with other supply operations functions
• Identifying and solving potential safety risks with HSE specialists

What should you bring?
To succeed in this role you need to have a solid knowledge of crane installations and erections processes and to be motivated to work with customers, suppliers and internal partners. Excellent negotiation skills as well as impressive communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are crucial. You are also expected to have a strong orientation towards achieving targets and sustaining our commitment to safety.
To convince us, you have a solid professional background either in the factory operations or at the site operations for crane installations, we especially appreciate experience accumulated over several years with demonstrated project management skills. We also expect that you have a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Position requires business travel to some extent and fluency in English, other language skills will give you an advantage as in some cases it is needed for ensuring a smooth communication with our subcontractors.
