We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our growing development team in Espoo. Currently, we are organized into 4 development teams using Scrum. Transparency, honesty, passion, and helping others are our core values.
In this position, you get to test and develop Visual Component’s 3D manufacturing simulation products. Your main responsibilities include manual testing of the software, developing testing practices, and collaboration with our developers. You will get a chance to contribute to the development of the company’s applications for desktop, mobile, cloud, and VR/AR platforms.
Our ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and an “eye for the details”. We are looking for someone who has got the willingness and attitude to learn a new business domain and deepen their skills in testing and technology. We are not only looking for someone to just “do the job”, but to share our values and become a full member of the Visual Components family.
Requirements for the applicant:
- Experience in testing desktop applications, e.g., Engineering tools, 3D engines, CAD tools, games
- Basic programming skills to cope with various scripts
- Good teamwork skills
- Relevant educational background, e.g., a bachelor’s degree in automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science, information technology or similar
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
- Experience in testing web applications, native cloud software is an advantage, but not mandatory
