We are looking for a
Strategic Development Manager for strategic investment projects
to join our OP Strategic Project Development team in Porvoo, Finland.
We are a small but devoted team of strategic transformation development professionals working in Strategic Project Development in the Oil Products’ (OP) Technology organisation. Our team is developing OP’s strategic projects roadmaps targeting Porvoo to be the Most Sustainable Refinery in Europe by 2030.
We generate and enhance strategic investment project development ideas, lead said projects’ pre-study and feasibility study phases being responsible for providing extensive, high-quality investment proposals for execution decisions. We make sure that the view of the strategic projects portfolio is up-to-date. We actively seek ways to develop possibilities to maximise the value to Oil Products BA and whole Neste and to enhance the company's competitive position in a changing market environment.
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are:
You will work internally closely with different parts of the Technology function, engineering, Asset management, procurement, supply chain, development teams in other BAs/BUs and Innovation to ensure a holistic view for developing investment project scopes. You will be reporting to strategic projects’ steering groups on a continuous basis and be prepared to present the deep-dives of your projects on different management levels and for the whole OP/Neste audience. Typical external stakeholders consist of e.g. different consultants, technology licensors, equipment vendors and local municipalities. Our work combines accountability, cooperation, and the desire to develop and renew. Working safely at all times is essential to all of us.

The recruitment process will include interviews and possible aptitude testing. The first interviews are preliminarily scheduled to take place on week 41.
