Technical Manager

Fortum Corporate Real Estate (CRE) is a group support function which creates added value to real estate management on corporate level. CRE coordinates and guides real estate functions and is responsible for developing and implementing real estate and workplace solutions and support Fortum's strategy and business.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Technical manager to join Fortum Corporate Real Estate team. Your main role will be to lead construction management for own investments, coordinate maintenance, repair and replacement procedures as well as support technically land development process.

You are expected to manage construction projects and demolition works, supervise main contractors and steer design, carry out TDD's and make cost calculations, run tender process and select contractors in all technical areas.

You will also provide our business with consultancy and advisory in technical questions, apply for permits and connections as well as be responsible for modifications at offices in Scandinavia and act as corporate contact person for FM services. You will also represent our company as landlord or when we are tenant.

Geotechnical surveys, feasibility studies in relation to new investments and knowledge of infrastructure is needed for this position.

What we are looking for

At least five years of experience in construction management and/or Facility management preferably as client representative. You have good understanding of Real Estate in general and you are flexible to carry out various projects related to our assets. You have good collaboration and communication skills and also able to create cases with financial thinking. In our international working environment English and Finnish skills are a must. It is also beneficial for you to demonstrate fluent skills with IT tools in real estate area.

• Master or Bachelor degree in Technology
• Fluent English and Finnish language skills
• Financial thinking and planning capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, customer orientation and service minded
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams, willingness to support and project management capabilities
• Travelling required around 20-30 days/year
