We are now looking for a Technology Manager to join our Automation Technology team in the Paper Business Line.
In this position you are responsible for Machine Control System (MCS) platform development and product management in Board and Paper Mills Automation. The DCS used at Valmet is naturally Valmet DNA.
You will be in the frontline developing industry-leading automation solutions and UX to our customers. Industrial Internet and Safety Integrated System (SIS) are also closely connected to and an essential part of MCS solution. You strive to understand the values and needs of our customers and ensure the technological and cost competitiveness of our MCS solutions. Managing development projects is one of your strengths but you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves either.
Your main stakeholders are our project engineering groups, sales and sales application, industrial internet group and Valmet Automation development and training organizations. Your support is also appreciated in the customer interface.
Your location can be either in Jyväskylä or Järvenpää.
To be successful in this position, you have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, for example, Automation Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Strong experience and deep knowledge of Valmet DNA
- Several years of experience in user interface and control application development in DCS environment, preferably within the board and paper industry
- Good understanding of modern UI and UX design principles
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish
You are self-driven and motivated by achieving good results and collaborating with others. An ability to work systematically and efficiently also under pressure in essential.
