Testing Engineer

We are now looking for a professional Testing Engineer to join our skilled and enthusiastic team in Valmet Automation Systems in Tampere, Finland.

What will you do at Valmet?

With us you have an opportunity to work on meaningful projects every day. As a Testing Engineer you are the key player ensuring the quality of our solutions. In this role you will get the chance to:

• Develop, execute and maintain automated test cases, suites and systems

• Setup, configure and maintain automated and manual testing environments

• Create/write test scripts for automated execution based on user stories and test cases

• Execute manual hands-on testing in areas where automation is not an option

• Work as part of an agile team in close collaboration with the rest of the team and other interest groups to understand specifications and requirements 

The position's responsibilities can be scaled according to your professional experience and skills so far. We are ready to support your development through great teamwork and different kinds of learning platforms.

Who is the professional we are looking for?

Moving our customer's performance forward is one our core values and it should also be your key driver. You enjoy troubleshooting and reaching the results through cooperation and teamwork. To do that you will need to be fluent in English and Finnish. You feel passionate about continuous learning and researching and feel comfortable making recommendations based on your findings. Systematic, organized, and persistent way of working helps you to succeed in this role.

We hope that you have experience in these areas:

• Writing test plans, test cases and test reports for both manual and automatic testing 

• Basic knowledge of the following tools and languages: JIRA, Python and Robot Framework 

• Windows OS and Linux environment experience, including software installation and simple administration tasks 

• Education or experience in process automation and industrial control system domain is an advantage, but not a must
