Parts Specialist, Technical Support Desk

At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we deliver pioneering products and solutions to our global customers within the mining and construction segment. Part of our exciting business is the Surface Drilling Division, where our intelligent surface drill rigs bring the latest technology to surface mining and construction applications – we’d like to call it true power with absolute precision!

We are now looking for a proactive and customer-focused Parts Specialist to join our Technical Support Desk team. This is a permanent position in Tampere, Finland.

Your role

You are a member of a Technical Specialist group supporting Surface Drill rigs aftermarket business. Work consists of wide range of daily support tasks for parts availability, replacements, recommendations, alternative solutions, and special focus on ‘unit down’ situations. You also work in very close collaboration with product support, material management, engineering, sourcing, and logistics teams. Succeeding in the job requires active communication between the key stakeholders worldwide.

Your character

You have a suitable degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in technology or equivalent and some experience in engineering or aftermarket business. Experience in the heavy machinery and/or mining and construction business is highly valued. As you work in a global environment you need to be fluent in English. Fluency in Finnish is also valued as solutions are searched through our specialist teams in the organization.

You have a passion to excellent customer service, and you can easily establish and maintain good contact network with your natural, good communication and teamwork skills. Customers love to get back to your team with their next question. You also have a strong interest in working with experts across cultural boundaries. You are curious to learn all the time, new products, solutions, processes, and IT tools – lifelong learning is your key motivator.
