Project Establishment Engineer

Do you want to be an expert in mastering the world's leading papermaking technology projects?

Valmet's Stock Preparation and Recycled Fiber (SPR) business unit supplies solutions and equipment to process raw materials for board and paper industry. We are now looking for an inventive and service minded Project Establishment Engineer to be a real back up for our Sales and Project teams.

You are a business minded engineer, who adds and upkeeps projects' master data in our new ERP system. You make preliminary arrangements, including cost activity documenting and project budget adaption, in delivery, testing and warranty projects. You are responsible for adding projects and their budgets to our ERP system and maintaining projects' cost activity structure in the system. Your tasks also include filling in pricing and cover allocation per different Valmet units. You make invoicing plans and issue invoices and order confirmations. In this role you have a chance to develop your own work and a way to operate model. You cooperate and communicate closely with different Valmet's units and other stakeholders.  

This position is located in Tampere. Other Valmet locations (Jyväskylä or Järvenpää) can also be considered.

Expectations for you

You have a technical / business degree, such as Bachelor or Master of Science, in a suitable field. We appreciate work experience in machine / process engineering or with sales / project finances. Experience in ERP tools and competence of upkeeping and development of MS Office tools, especially Excel calculations would be an asset. However, the most important skill is willingness and enthusiasm to learn new things and persistence to get the job done. While work experience is valued, we don't expect you to be full professional, but we expect you to have strong commitment to become one.

You are a team player, capable to work sometimes on limited schedules, without losing sight of essential details. In this role, good knowledge of spoken and written English and Finnish is essential. Other languages, especially Swedish, are an asset.
