Generation division is responsible for the large scale power production, physical optimization and trading activities in the Nordic area. This division comprises nuclear, hydro and wind power production, portfolio management and trading, industrial intelligence and nuclear services.

Your role

We are looking for a Project Manager for the Newbuild and Operating Services team within the Nuclear Services unit in Espoo. The responsibilities of the team include development and execution of projects related to services for external customers.

As a Project Manager you will participate actively in preparing new consultation and service projects in the field of nuclear engineering or operation and maintenance of nuclear power plant related to new build or operating nuclear power plants. You will would work closely together with our nuclear power experts and in some cases with our external partners in order to create solutions and winning proposals for the needs of our customers in Finland and abroad. You would be responsible for carrying out selected smaller and bigger projects and assignments together with other nuclear power experts of Fortum and possibly with our partners. The type of the projects and your role will depend on your previous experience.

Your qualifications

We expect you to have a Master’s degree in engineering in a relevant subject such as nuclear engineering, energy technology or power plant or process engineering. Furthermore, we expect several years' experience in international projects, in Finnish and international nuclear regulatory requirements and practices and experience of nuclear power plants, nuclear engineering, or nuclear safety.

You are interested in international projects and ready to work in projects with firm schedules and deadlines. You have good communication and networking skills. Working with customers and in project teams motivates you. You have fluent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluent Finnish and/or and Swedish is an advantage.
