Quantitative business developer

We at Spring want to revolutionize the business logic of the power system and provide the tools for its decarbonization. Our virtual power plant software enables flexible electricity consumption and storages to act together as one and actively balance the power system. This way our customers can enable more renewable energy and earn additional revenue in the process. We work with the latest technologies in the industry, including batteries, electric vehicles and industrial IoT. We have built multiple operational and growing business cases in the Nordics and are now scaling up and expanding our presence.

Your Role

You will be part of our development team, who is building and operating our software platform. Together with your colleagues, you will work in agile sprints building new features and improving the existing system. You will develop new algorithms for controlling our fleet in real-time and run analyses from our large measurement databases. You will also monitor and do active problem-solving when the algorithms are operational. At times you will also visit customer sites to support installation and testing of our IoT hardware.

This position is permanent and located in Espoo, Finland or Stockholm, Sweden. Currently the team is working partly remotely and will continue in a hybrid mode in the future as well.

Your Qualifications

You are an analytical thinker with a can-do attitude. You have a good grasp of Python and have worked with databases. In addition, you may have also tinkered with IoT hardware and gone deeper into professional software development, but in any case, you are a quick learner. You have a university or college-level education in a relevant field and some years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of the energy sector and electricity markets is highly appreciated. The team language is English, which you communicate in fluently.
