Senior DCS System Specialist

ProCenter which is part of the Valmet Performance Center for Automation is a vital part of the AUT Services organization. It provides top specialist level technical support, mostly for the local Service and project teams all over the world and even on-site of the customer's premises when needed. ProCenter works also as a link between the R&D and operative units in technical issues. ProCenter is mainly located in Tampere, but not limited to one location.

ProCenter is now seeking an experienced DNA platform professional to become a new top-level expert in our team.

Essential part of the job is to provide technical support to project and service teams and also to end customers together with a local Service and Operations. The support is mostly given as remote support e.g. support applications, emails, phone, remote connections etc. Occasionally there are cases where on-site support is needed, often with a short notice and high urgency.

Other key tasks include creating technical instructions and FAQs to frequent trouble-shooting issues. Internal and customer training may be part of the job on needs basis every now and then in cooperation with the training team.

Location is negotiable in Finland (Tampere preferred).

Expectations

You have expert knowledge on DNA platform and DNA tools. Any expertise on other areas, like links (LIS) or industrial networks, is a plus. You also posses proven troubleshooting skills and hopefully some experience on customer service.

As you work in close cooperation with the customers, regional service teams, operations and other teams, good networking and interaction skills are necessary. Sharing information and reporting on-site support cases is part of the job, so capability to create technical documents and sufficient written and spoken English and Finnish skills are needed.

You need to be able to work without constant guidance. This job is very independent and self guided, even though you can rely on the very helpful and professional team you will be working with. Sometimes work can be somewhat hectic so you need to be able to work under a pressure.

The support is mostly given remotely from a Valmet office. Occasional travelling is possible.
