Pulp Drying technology unit's Project Operations is responsible for the commissioning of pulp drying machines around the world and our start-up engineers work frequently at our customers' pulp mills around the world.
We are looking for an active and independent Start-up-Engineer, who has good social skills and ability and willingness to learn and share expertise with others. Your primary office location would be Raisio, but Ulvila, or Jyväskylä are also options.
Your main responsibilities are:
Planning of start-ups in co-operation with customer.
Testing and starting up equipment and processes incl. trouble shooting.
Preparation of presentation and training material.
Provide both classroom and hands-on training to customer's personnel.
Customer support in co-operation agreements.
Reporting (status reports, progress follow-up, feedback for equipment and processes development).
Overseeing necessary documentation (inspections, installation punch list, quality documents, acceptance certificates).
Additionally, you will participate in Reference Management and RTD.
Process automation engineering, should your background enables.
You have a degree in a suitable technical field (pulp, paper or process). Working experience in pulp or paper mills or similar industry is appreciated. Hands-on knowhow in commissioning works of similar equipment and knowledge of pulp drying technology is a definite plus. Fluent English skills are needed in this position, other languages (especially Finnish) are an asset.
You should have good communication and interpersonal skills to build and keep up good relationships with both external and internal clients. You enjoy problem solving and troubleshooting. Even though this includes very practical tasks, you need to have systematic ways of working and keep your paperwork in order. Interest to work on assignments globally and flexibility to changing conditions are a requirement, as the individual assignments can last for several months at a time.
You can be commissioning expert or young growing talent, but essential is your high motivation and eager to learn more.
