Team Leader, Separation and Fractionation

We are looking for a

Team Leader

to work as a line manager in the Separation and Fractionation Research group. The position is permanent and will be located in Technology Centre, Kilpilahti industrial area in Porvoo.  

The new Separation and Fractionation Research group belongs to the Catalysts and Refining department at Neste Core R&D unit. The tasks of our group include process development, pilot, bench and laboratory scale testing with feed pretreatment and with feed and product fractionation systems. Group members provide expertises needed in R&D projects and oil refinery expert services. 

Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

Work as a line manager for ca 5 laboratory technicians. You have the opportunity to develop your team and recruit additional members. You are responsible for the safety and quality of the work in the testing facilities and you will develop competencies, work practices and testing equipment with your team. You and your team provide expertise needed in different R&D projects and expert services. You will be a member of the Catalysts and Refining department leadership team.

• University degree from relevant field (e.g. Master’s degree)
• Strong background in production or experimental research work
• People leadership and organising skills
• Proactive and collaborative way of working 
• Skills to motivate highly professional experts
• Confirmation and development of safety at work 
• Fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken

We also value

• Previous experience as a line manager
• Mindset of curiosity or previous experience from R&D
• Asset investment project experience
• Strong interest in developing experimental testing systems
• Skillful user of modern IT tools
